The session is highly informative in regard to traffic handling and proper voicing of voice messages. I highly recommend everyone interested in ARES/RACES operation to listen to this training.

The technology of power systems has changed drastically in the last decade, yet most ham's concepts of shack power, field power, emergency power and renewable power are woefully out of date. Did you know you can use a modern loaptop power supply on anything from 100 to 240 VAC OR 150 to 330 VDC? It can provide up to 6 amps for portable operation and take only 10% the size and weight of older power supplies. Also Home Solar has come of age. Payback is now in under 5 years and then you get free power for LIFE!
